Members keep the Ropewalk open. Membership fees paid for about an eighth of our running costs last year, and you get in free, all year, as often as you like.

How to join

Online
Choose an option above and pay by card. Your card and first issue of The Walk arrive by post within two weeks.

At the front desk
Any opening day. If you join on the day of your visit, we’ll refund that day’s tickets.

By phone
Call (555) 555-0167, Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 4 pm.
Membership runs for 12 months from the day you join. We’ll write a month before it ends. We don’t renew automatically.

Give a membership
Any option can be a gift. We post a membership card, a postcard of the shift bell and a note from you, to you or straight to them. You choose the start date, so it can arrive on a birthday.

Questions
Can I use my membership at other museums?
No. We’re a small independent society and don’t belong to a reciprocal scheme.
What happens at the AGM?
Members elect the committee of 9, hear the treasurer’s report and vote on anything the society needs to decide. It’s held each autumn in the Hemp Store and lasts about an hour, with tea.
How do guest passes work?
They’re printed on the back of your card. Bring a friend, and the desk ticks one off.
