The Tarring Room hosts two or three exhibitions a year, each built from the collection and from things lent by Tarrow families. Every exhibition is free with your museum ticket.
The Branch Line, 1886 to 1958

Seventy-two years of the Tarrow Valley Railway, from the first train to the guard who took his lamp home. Tickets, timetables, uniforms and photographs.
Past exhibitions
Past exhibitions often leave something behind: a booklet, a set of photographs in the reading room, or an object that stayed on display.
Always on show
The surviving 96 metres of the walk, with the machinery, the tools and the boats that carried rope down the Merrin.
Upstairs, where hemp was once combed: shops, kitchens, the school and the people of Tarrow from the 1860s to the 1970s.
